How it works
The rules follow the formulas and worked examples published by two secondary sources, the Korean shoe size conversion guide on haniseoul.com and the shoe size converter on calctools.co.kr. Neither shows a publication date.
- The Korean size is the foot length in millimetres.
- US men = mm / 10 - 18, and US women = US men + 1.5.
- UK = mm / 10 - 19.
- EU = the whole part of (mm / 10 + 1.5) x 1.5.
- Japan is the foot length in centimetres, mm / 10.
- The closest marked size rounds the US or UK value to the nearest 0.5.
- A US or UK value of zero or below is shown as n/a.
- Working back from US, UK or JP is the exact inverse, and the foot length it gives must be between 100 and 350 mm.
- Children’s sizes are not offered because there is no sourced chart.

Women’s US is the US value above plus 1.5, so a 250 mm foot comes out at 8.5.
Good to know
No single standard governs shoe sizing, so a conversion is a starting point rather than a promise. Two models from the same brand can fit a full size apart, and people with wide feet often buy a size up at the same length. For a fair measurement, stand on a sheet of paper in the evening, when feet are at their largest, and measure from the heel to the tip of the longest toe. If your feet differ in length, use the longer one. Most overseas shops publish their own chart, so use this tool to narrow the range and let that chart make the final call.

Why does an EU size give a range of millimetres?
One EU size covers several millimetres. EU 41 is what you get from any foot length between 259 and 264 mm. To compare other systems precisely, enter your foot length in mm.
Can I trust the result when every brand sizes differently?
Treat it as an estimate. The same foot length can call for different sizes depending on the brand and the shoe's last. Check the brand's own size chart before buying.
